ADGAS EPC Works for FER
2014
Location - Das Island, UAE - Client: ADGAS
STONE Oil & Gas is providing Detailed Engineering and Technical Procurement services for flare and emission reduction (FER) of CO2 and SO2 which includes the reconfiguration and upgrade of existing sulfur transfer systems.
The project consists of two independent schemes. The first involves the installation of an Acid gas header and cross-over line between three existing SRUs which will reduce the need to flare acid gas when any of the SRUs is off-line. The new facility is expected to significantly reduce the current plant SO2 emissions to atmosphere.
The second scheme seeks to reduce flaring of acid gas and therefore SO2 emissions resulting from the low reliability of current Liquid Sulphur Rundown and Transfer lines. It will replace existing steam / electric traced Liquid Sulphur Rundown lines in Trains 1 & 2 with larger steam jacketed and proprietary ControTrace® lines to the Battery Limits. Existing Sulphur seal legs are to be replaced with more reliable new technology sulphur traps in Trains 1, 2 & 3.
